SMPD Substation

The Santa Monica Police Department’s downtown substation is located on the ground level of Santa Monica Place, right in the heart of the Downtown retail and dining district. The substation serves as a home base for officers patrolling the Promenade, Pier, Transit Mall, and surrounding areas, helping keep response times quick and a friendly, visible presence nearby.

Officers work alongside Metro, the City’s Clean & Safe Ambassadors, and local security teams to keep downtown welcoming for everyone. The space also hosts community safety briefings and outreach events, so stop by and say hello.

For emergencies, always call 911.
